The government will determine the content of the inspection bill until May 13 of this year
As the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov noted, President Dmitry Medvedev instructed the government to slightly simplify the procedure for passing the technical inspection of vehicles, and subsequently and proceed to the consideration of issues regarding the complete abolition of this procedure.
It is expected that the State Duma should consider this bill on May 13 of this year and adopt the final decision regarding it. According to Igor Shuvalov, at the moment the Government of the Russian Federation holds various meetings on issues related to this bill in order to complete the work on the bill by May 13 and submit it to the Duma for consideration. The government works in the process of developing this bill in two different directions. The first is the provision of calm, without any encumbrances, procedures for undergoing technical inspection. The second is the maintenance of vehicles in normal technical condition in order not to create a threat of security of citizens (both drivers and passengers and pedestrians).
Igor Shuvalov also said that the government is considering the possibility of canceling the procedure for undergoing a technical inspection of vehicles and instructions for confirming the technical condition of vehicles to the maintenance centers (for vehicles that are over three years old). And for new cars and those who have not yet been three years from the release date (as for vehicles whose technical condition is at the permissible level for their normal operation), it is proposed to cancel the coupons about the technical inspection.
A few days earlier, the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev made a proposal relatively complete and comprehensive reforming the procedure for undergoing a technical inspection of vehicles, indicating the need to exclude the Ministry of the Interior from the passage of this procedure, and then, after some time, and generally cancel this procedure.
